Engagement Parties & High Tea

Dolce Ensembles specialise in beautiful music for weddings and corporate functions but these are not the only events that we do! Garden parties, high tea and other get togethers are often the perfect place for some soft (or lively!) background music to accompany the day.

Recently Dolce Ensembles performed at a Ladies Garden Tea Party for a more “vanilla” hen’s night requested by the bride – the duo hired in place of the usual male strippers that may feature at these events . . .

Instead, the afternoon was filled with scones with jam and cream, cucumber sandwiches and of course, plenty of champagne! While the ladies chatted about each others fascinating fascinators at the long table set up on the front lawn under a beautiful marquee, the duo played a mixture of lively classical music to begin the afternoon.

Upbeat contemporary music accompanied a fashion show with prizes for the best dressed including some popular requests – Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve, I Say a Little Prayer by Burt Bacharach and Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely. Other more unusual requests included Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and Frank Sinatra’s That’s Amore which were hits with all of the guests!
