“Thanks so much for the wonderful music at our wedding! Working with you was a pleasure, you made everything so simple and easy, and your performance was just lovely.
We had a ton of impressed comments from our guests about your choice of pieces at our reception, and it was so helpful to have musicians who could work with our slightly non-traditional choices for the ceremony.
We both would highly recommend Dolce to anyone looking for something special and unique for their happy day :)” – Nina and Chris
Nina and Chris held their wedding ceremony at the charming St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northbridge. It was an intimate affair, and was for family and friends to enjoy as the couple had been legally married a month beforehand. They had many non-traditional choices, with Nina walking down the aisle to the string duo’s version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love”.
As there was no signing of the registry, the couple chose to have a reflective piece of music after the pastor’s address. This was Bizet’s famous Pearlfisher’s Duet – a very demanding, but beautiful piece of music. After the conclusion of the ceremony, the couple walked back down the aisle to an up-tempo “Penny Lane” by The Beatles.
We then joined the guests for the reception at Matilda Bay foreshore, where a beautiful marquee complete with dance floor and bar had been set up. We played for 2 hours, including songs by Tom Jones, Elvis Costello and The Temptations. It was a beautiful afternoon, and the superb cellist Nick Metcalfe joined Kathryn to make up the string duo.
