Jo and Chris held their wedding ceremony on a beautiful wintry afternoon at one of our favourite churches to perform in – St. Columba’s Church. They booked a trio for an hour to cover their shortened service. The string trio was made up of Erin Chen playing violin, stunning violist Katie McKay and the wonderful Sophie Curtis on cello.
The trio played a mixture of contemporary and classical music prior to the ceremony, including Mancini’s Moon River and Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers. The gorgeous bride walked down the aisle to the Debussy’s impressionistic Clair de Lune, a wonderfully thought provoking and emotive piece. The couple chose to have a candle lighting ceremony, with the mother’s lighting each family candle to Gabriel’s Oboe composed by Ennio Morricone. Once the couple was pronounced husband and wife, they lit their marriage candle to Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight. The trio was joined by Jacci (the couple’s friend) to perform the Doris Day version of Dream A Little Dream Of Me (with backing track) during the signing of the register.
The couple exited the church to Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World. Thank you so much to Fields & Skies Photography for their beautiful wedding photos. Have a look at their awesome Facebook page also 🙂
