Kiara and Jamie chose a string quartet for their wedding ceremony at the glorious St Michael the Archangel Chapel in Leederville. With a specific song choice in mind for her entrance, we worked closely with Kiara to provide the perfect mix of the couple’s favourite contemporary songs for the string quartet to perform.
As guests arrived, the string quartet played from the couple’s list of requests including Tonight Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins and the classic Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You by Frankie Valli just before Kiara arrived at the church, ready to walk down the aisle.
The bridal party entered the chapel followed by the beautiful bride as the quartet played a slightly slower version of Never Let Me Go by Florence & the Machine, as requested by Kiara, to set the tone for the rest of the ceremony.
The ceremony included two candle ceremonies, one for the lighting of the candles by the mothers of the bride and groom and also as the couple lit the unity candle following their vows. During this time it is a great chance to include some more reflective music in the ceremony and Kiara and Jamie chose to leave this up to the musicians to play for a short period to accompany proceedings.
Following the vows the newly married couple signed the register to the Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition and exited the church to be greeted by guests as the string quartet played Beautiful Day by U2.
We love to hear from our lovely couples following their wedding day and we received some very kind words from Kiara, “Thanks for the beautiful music on our wedding day. It really added to the atmosphere!” x
