Elliot is a full-time violist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra & it is always such an privilege when our colleagues recommend or hire us for their special day. We were super excited to receive an enquiry from Elliot & we put together a gorgeous group for the day.
A string quartet was definitely on the cards – a viola certainly had to be involved! We had the wonderful Kate Sullivan & Akiko Miyazawa on violin, Alex Brogan on viola & Melinda Gourlay on cello. A star-studded group!!
The wedding ceremony was held at St. Columba’s Church in South Perth. This beautiful church overlooks the Swan River & is a magnificent church for Catholic ceremonies. Plus, amazing acoustics for our musicians to perform in.
Elliot & Tess opted for a mix of classical & contemporary music for our string quartet to perform. The classical pieces opened & closed the ceremony & the signing choices were more contemporary. This is a great option for those couples who wish to combine traditional & modern elements into their day (have a look at this post we wrote about ceremony music choices).
Music choices included:
Bridal Entrance: Flower Duet (Delibes)
Signing: A Whole New World from Aladdin (Alan Menken) & At Last (Etta James)
Exit: Wedding March (Mendelssohn)
Please have a listen to our audio samples of their beautiful choices, by clicking on the links provided. These are recorded by us & are a great reference to how we will sound on the day.
Beautiful photos by the incredible Simone Addison. Thank you for the gorgeous snaps. x
